At the time of this work VW was contemplating pulling out of North America. Five years into this era of brand stewardship, VW was the hottest brand in the market and the Cabrio spot was nominated for an Emmy Award. Five years later, the VW client was inducted into the Advertising Hall-Of-Fame.
